The mild-mannered reporter from the Daily Planet has appeared in numerous comic books, TV and radio shows, comic strips, and movies. The most notable portrayal of Superman was first seen back in 1978 in a movie adaptation by Richard Donner and a portrayal by Christopher Reeve in Superman: The Movie. This successful movie was followed by three more installments all portrayed by Christopher Reeve. The 2006 movie Superman Returns where newcomer Brandon Routh played the 'blue boy scout' was a riveting success.
So what's in store for the Superman movie fan? A 'sequel' for Superman Returns is rumored to be in production by Warner Brothers. The title? Superman Unleashed. These are all rumors though. Let's just see how everything turns out. Let's see if Brandon Routh plays The Man of Steel again or whether Bryan Singer directs again or the Wachowski Brothers snatches the job from him.
